Domestic Removals
AA Removals is the domestic removals division of IC Express Ltd Group. Established in 1995, the IC Express group is a family run business and you can be sure of a warm, friendly and professional service every time. Once you have contacted our Domestic Removals division (AA Removals) we will arange for a representitive to visit your home to give you a quotation and offer advice on your forthcoming move. AA Removals can accomodate all of your requirements and all of our quotes are free and carry no obligation.
We will provide you with:

- Full support and guidance to relocating you and your family. We have moved thousands of families and understand your fears. We will ensure that your valued possessions arrive safely at your new home.

- How do I arrange for an estimator to call? You can telephone, fax or email, please find all our details in the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page.
- Will AA Removals dismantle large items of furniture? Yes, all of our porters are able to discuss this with your account manager.
- I only have a small amount of furntiture to move, will I receive a discount? Yes, AA Removals will offer a special rate. Again, please discuss this with your account manager.
- My property is sold but I haven't found anywhere to move to. AA removals have local storage facilities, which may be of use to you. Please discuss this with your account manager.
- Are my goods insured? Yes, AA Removals carry £50,000 worth of Goods in Transit Insurance.
Packing
- One of the most important aspects of any move is the packing. We can supply all the latest packing materials to wrap and protect your possessions. We will ensure that:
- China, glass and fragile items are individually wrapped and placed in protective cartons.
- Clothes are transferred into railed hanging wardrobe boxes for convenience and protection.
- Pictures and mirrors are wrapped in blankets.
- All items will be handled with the utmost care and attention.

- Will AA Removals dismantle larger items of furniture? Yes, however there may be a charge for this service.
- There are some fixtures and fittings that I wish to take, can AA Removals take these off the wall for me? Yes, but we cannot accept any responsibility for repair of top walls if marks are left.
- If you do require goods to be packed, please talk to your account manager. AA Removals will send out two or more operatives the day before your move will all the relevant materials.
Countdown
Six weeks to go:
- Phone or email AA Removals to arrange for a representitive to call at your property to offer a quotation.
- Arrange new schools / colleges.
- Find out as much info about your new community as possible to fully prepare you and your family.
Three weeks to go:
- Confirm dates with your removals company.
Two weeks to go:
- Plan your journey to your new address, including overnight accomodation if applicable.
- If we are packing your possessions call your account manager to confirm the booking of the packers the day before your removal.
- Use the below checklist to aid you when informing all the necessary companies and organisations of the date before your move:

One week to go
- If packing yourself, contact your account manager to arrange delivery of crates and boxes.
- Inform all of your neighbours that you will be moving and ask them to leave reasonable accesses around your property on removal day.
- Put together a box of essentials such as a kettle, teabags, coffee etc that you can access easily at your new property whilst the lorry is being unloaded.
- Take pictures off the wall.
- Defrost and clean your fridge freezer.
- Unscrew any fixtures that are going to your new address.
- Back up all your computer files.
On the day:
- Arrange access for the lorry at both addresses
- Keep on your person keys, handy telephone numbers and travel directions
- Check that everything is packed
- Take gas and electric readings
- Turn all lights off
- Secure the property when you leave.
